Security requirements as high as bulletproof will require the use of window type SH or SV (steel frame).
Fire cells are divided into classes after there ability to withstand fire (15, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes). Heat transmission is also measured. E-class means unlimited heat transmission, EI-class means <140°C on the non burning side after a given timeframe. For example E60 means that flames can´t pass trough but there´s no limit for heat on the non fire side. The Svalson SV-E60 window meet the standards for E60 requirements.

For windows installed in facades it is sometimes necessary with insulated profiles and low emission glass. Such windows are often used in restaurant facades to be opened up when the weather is nice. Svalson have a vertically sliding window (Thermo) with insulated profiles.
Noise reduction is measured as the diffrence in decibel (dB) between two separate compartments. Svalson sliding windows can be equipped with sound-reducing glass, brush seals and siliconseals. Normaly it´s sufficient with a soundreduction of 30dB in office buildings. To achieve the best reduction all the glass will have to be framed. A sliding window will however never be as tight as a regular hinged window.
Horizontal windows are operated sideways and can include one or more sliding sections. Svalson sliding windows are available in several versions depending on costumer demands. Svalson have two horizontally operating aluminium sliding windows and one steel window.
